The facility and technology for processing mixed plastic materials together with household and industrial waste involve the thermal treatment of polymer waste in the absence of air. The process is continuous, and the main product is a continuously collected mixture of cracking products in a gaseous state.

These gases are then condensed and used in distillation units to produce liquid hydrocarbons that can be utilized as diesel and gasoline fractions.

This is therefore a chemical processing method for plastic waste, resulting in a liquid mixture of hydrocarbons that can serve as a feedstock for the petrochemical industry or as a substitute for liquid fuels derived from crude oil refining. It is not a process of incinerating plastic waste for energy recovery.

 

 

How it works

Technological process

The line is built using a unique three-phase process. This structured approach ensures optimal efficiency, consistent product quality, and precise control at each stage of transformation.
In the first, mechanical-thermal phase, the input waste is properly treated and freed from most of the water and other impurities. The input materials can include all plastic wastes based on PE and PP in any ratio, even with slight contamination of up to 15% of the total weight.

From the incoming plastics, a melt is formed, which in the second phase is decomposed in a reactor into process gas at temperatures up to 430 °C. The gas then enters the condensation system, where two liquid fractions and one gaseous fraction are separated
The final product can be a certified secondary fuel suitable as a substitute for fossil fuels, for example in power generators. After the addition of absorbents, further purification, and filtration, the raw products can be reused for the production of new plastics
